Google has implemented a new feature which enables you to type a
Telephone number into the search bar and hit enter and you will be
Given the person's name and address. If you then hit MapQuest, you will
Get a map to the person's house. Everyone should be aware of this! It's
A nationwide reverse telephone book.

If a child gives out his/her phone number, someone can now look it up
To find out where he/she lives. The safety issues are obvious, and alarming.

Note that you can have your phone number removed or blocked. I tried my
Number and it came up along with the mapquest and directions straight
To our house. I did fill out the removal form for myself, and encourage
All of you to do the same.

In order to test whether your phone number is mapped, go to: Google
(http://www.google.com) Type your phone number in the search bar (i.e.
555-555-1212) and hit enter. If you want to BLOCK Google from divulging
Your private information, simply click on your telephone number and
Then click on the Removal Form. Removal takes 48-hours.

Check your own number and although this may not apply to you if you
Have an unlisted number or cell phone as primary contact, but you may
Know someone who needs to know this.

sorry i've been MIA a bit around here lately. i had some cold or virus that made me feel like i'd been hit by a mack truck. at least i missed the LJ blackout lol.

. saturday my parents came over to help dave put together the swing set they got for the kids. it's a really nice wooden one with a slide, mini rock wall, swing, glider swing, and monkey bars. the kids LOVE it.

a *little* problem though...it's not the one we ordered. they delivered 2 boxes. a little while after the girl called me saying they thought they delivered 2 sets. i went out, read her the numbers said "one box says 1 of 1, the other says 1 of 2". okay, that's right, you're all set. DUH, i call back "shouldn't they say 1 of 2 and 2 of 2??". nope, you're fine.

okay, so it took over 2 weeks for us to put it together. michael went out and started sorting stuff...yeah, totally wrong. the 1 of 1 box had everything so we put that one together, BUT michael said the one he saw (that we bought) had a rope ladder instead of a climbing wall and it was just pressure treated wood, not the nice dark wood the other one is. OHHHHH WELLLLL! lol. i dunno, i think my mom is supposed to call today to see what they want to do about the box for the other set. my fear is that the set we put together was more expensive than the one we actually bought. michael said he didn't care though, he'd pay the difference if they want.

i felt bad for dave through all of it though because he had duty the night before so he'd gotten NO sleep and it was hot as balls on saturday. humid and gross. he was a trooper though.

dave and i managed to have quite a bit of *ahem* "quality time" this weekend. verrrry nice, since i usually have no interest, hopefully the pill change is finally making a difference in that area.

it was nice too to just wake up yesterday and snuggle for a little bit. plus, he let me take a nap yesterday!! woohoo! i love naps lol.

oh, he bought WoW the other day. bad enough we have 2 everquest accounts. luckily, he just bought a 60 day game card to see if he likes it. if he does, we may cancel one or both of the EQ accounts. i just have a hard time doing that because he has 2 level 75 characters that he's spent the last 7 years working on. however, i'm starting to like WoW so we'll see what happens lol.

anywhoooo, that's about it from here, time to feed the kiddos. hope everyone had a nice weekend!

payless kids' shoe recall

i was in payless today looking for the fake croc shoes for the girls (i had seen dora ones there last month) and the woman said they had all been recalled. (she said hopefully they'd have new ones out and in stores in the next month or so).

so anyway, if you bought these, i would call the store you got them from and see what they want you to do. i don't know why they've been recalled (i've been searching google but come up empty on the clogs) but i figured i'd let you all know

Okay, I did a minor friends cut today (only a few people who hadn't posted in months).

However...here is your "Get out of Jail Free" card...if you don't like me/think we've clicked, or you can't stand my bitching and moaning, but are too nice to cut me off your FL here's your chance. No questions asked As soon as I notice you've cut me I'll take you off my list :)
